I have been searching for good quality manipulatives for teaching geometry concepts to K - 12th graders, including names of various 2D and 3D shapes, geometry nets, area, volume, platonic solids, etc.There are lots of poorly reviewed, low-quality, items out there--so far, everything I've bought has been pretty much a waste of money.Polydron's magnetic construction kit is exactly what I have been looking for! Very high quality materials, and they didn't skimp on the magnets, so the pieces stick together strongly.This is made for the classroom--it is all made to be used over and over by kids.The shapes can be used very effectively as educational manipulatives (to build geometric 2D and 3D figures, platonic solids, etc.), but kids can also "play" with them to build/construct cars, rolling "balls," trucks, rockets, etc. Also, the "posters" with diagrams of various shapes were not in the package I received--when I wrote to Polydron, they got back to me almost instantly, and quickly sent the missing posters (also sent me PDFs so I could print them myself). Great customer service, and a great product. I strongly recommend this product.Expensive but it worth it! The quality of the parts is really good, obviously designed to last for generations to play with. On top of that the children are creating lots of 3D "volumes" and playing with it letting their imagination naming the forms and explaining their functionalities. I definitely recommend it !Die Magnete sind bei den Kindern der Renner und auch ich habe Spaß daran. Sie halten im Vergleich zu Magnetformen mit nur einem Magneten in der Mitte der Seiten viel besser. Das Paket ist zwar teuer, aber vom Umfang genau richtig, um auch etwas Ordentliches bauen zu können. Und die Qualität ist super!Meine Kinder spielen mit den Magneten täglich seit über einem JahrEin supertolles Spielzeug, das die Spielfantasie der Kids beflügelt. Unsere Jungs (5 Jahre) kennen es aus dem Kindergarten und lieben die Bausteine. Tolle Qualität und schöne Anregungen zum Nachbauen.Es wird in einem weißen Plastikeimer geliefert.Ein Manko ist allerdings der hohe Preis.Permet créativité et occupation calme.Un jeu agréable d'utilisation, pas sonore du tout et très attractif pour les petits dès 4 ou 5 ans.
