Our cockapoo puppy cried at night until we got this. It helped a lot.It seems to work for the most part but the batteries/connection is loose not a snug fit so it easily stops working with the stuffed animal being thrashed around. You will have to tape the batteries down to make sure they stay in place.Mr. Moose lives in the crate for our puppy. We only turn the heartbeat on at night but he loves it. He sleeps cuddled up next to it or even on top of it sometimes. He's started playing with it a little more and has discovered the velcro but hasn't been able to open it up yet. We try to reinforce for him that Mr. Moose isn't a toy so he doesn't bite/play with it like he does his other toys but that can be hard when you're trying to get him to stay alone and entertained in a crate. So far he hasn't been able to really tear it up yet but I am worried he will. I won't say this is a miracle worker — if our puppy doesn't want to sleep or be in the crate he still cries and whimpers, but it definitely calms him down when he is sleepy.It is a really cute schnauzer. Our puppy was not too interested in it except as a chew toy. The heart beat is nice and is actually comforting but the puppy does not care much about it.My dog runs around the house with this toy. I have so many because he destroys them.I had my puppy before I received this, surprisingly she never whines in her crate but I will say, she does favor this, she carries it around with her through the day and definitely has it with her at night, I don't feel I can rate it fairly, just because my puppy was calm without it, however I am very satisfied with it, very cute sturdy and love the remoteMY PUPPY WENT TO SLEEP SHE 8 WEEKS OLD. SO I HAD TO ORDER IT AGAIN FOR MY OTHER BABBIES AND THEY CAME IN FAST. I GOT THE FIRST ONE MONDAY AND TODAY I GET THE SECOND ONE. CANT WAIT.Great product for my ouopy
