Huge rip-off! I don't even know where to begin. First (a different store) had these at half the price but all sold out so I figured I would buy them on Amazon but when I got it it had a sticker from the different store. So I guess they bought all of the stock and doubled the price. Second the box has a fake egg top (which i understand is probably to protect the egg and prevent it from cracking) but it actually much smaller than the packaging. It males it seem like it is a much bigger toy. Third the hatching only takes less than 10 mins so you barely get to enjoy it or interact with it. Fourth each "stage" only lasts so long too. Last the actual toy is only like 5 inches tall.. Such a disappointment and especially for the price I feel ripped off :(Daughter loved it for her 8th birthday! It's was so exciting to see it hatch. It worked as described. She said it was the best birthday present she got!Got my daughter all excited about the egg hatching and then it didn't even hatch properly. We were patient and played with it, did everything properly. You could hear it trying to peck out but nothing was happening. We had to peel back the egg shell and THEN the bird finally does it's hatching ritual once the egg was gone. Pretty big let down.I bought for my daughter's birthday and it was a complete disaster.It was delivered in my hotel during a business trip to Miami. Some days after I arrived in Brazil, it was my daughters birthday and we gave her this as a gift.It didnt work at all... The little animal was not able to crack the egg... And did not do any of the functions described. We replaced the batteries for new ones and again it did not work... My daughter was very frustrated and so were us as we had no other gift for her...Now I am trying to return it but it is not easy to send it from Brazil to the US... Not sure I will be able to make it.Not a good experience for a US100.00 toy!My daughter really wanted this so I bought her one n when she got it she really loved it. It's been some time since I've bought this and it still works as it did the day I bought it. I recommend this product to anyone that wants a hatchimalIt was fun to see the hatchimal pop out the egg. But disappointing within a day it changed hatching, toddler and kid with out playing with it.. It made me feel sad I think it should have taken longer to change with me playing with it. I also wanted to reset it but the reset button did not work. Plus I held the belly down and said something and it did not repeat it back to me. I said hello and the hatchimal said nothing at all. Plus the eyes did not match the saying in the directions. To wrap it up the eye colors and hatchimal was not working. Written By: Ten year old granddaughterGreat Toy! Daughter loves it. I don't know if this seller is selling a chipper knock off or if they are all that poor of quality. The fir is patchy and is falling off, random strings are sticking out from where is it sewn together...
