I don't know if my cats a Maine Coon or a Norwegian Forest cat or a regular longhair but she is busy. Every toy I bought she looks at me like "seriously?" But this one has her attention! She loves it! So glad it does not run on batteries because she is non stop!It comes with string and two toys you can loop it on to the string and switch it on. I haven't had a chance to get the hang of the remote because she just wants to chase and chase and chase untill the battery dies. The I recharge it and it starts again.The toy will start and stop as apart of play for the cat but it will turn itself off after 10 - 15 minuets depending on the speed you have it at (she likes it fast), But if you switch it on and off it will start back up. When its dead the red light willl come on when you plug it in to charge it. It does not work wile charging. It will apear to be broke if you try to run it while its charging.The first time my cat played with it she did chew the string in three places but I think she learned then that if she chews the string it won't run ( good for her) so she hasn't done that since. It doesn't get tangled and you can use the different anchors to make different shapes. It is a trip hazard for the bi-peds in your life but its really easy to set up and take down. I would love to do an obsitical course up the wall on to the cat tree so we will see.I work from home and needed some space for her to play by herself for a while. It can be a little loud because it makes a squeek sound to mimic mice (good for her not a big fan personally) but its not obnoxious.10 out of 10 would recomend for the busy and highly active play and chase cats in your life.
