I'm going through a process of trying to see what my 60 lbs 5 y/o rescue pitbull likes to play with. It's been 4 months and he doesn't play with rope or balls like other dogs. He likes things with fur. He gets along with my cats believe it or not. This gets him going. Balls, ropes, sticks are out of the question. Other things he plays with is corduroy stuffed toys and rubber tires and rings. I would buy this bungee fur toy again...after he rips all of the fur out?My only issue is that she’s able to pull the hair outMy dog is absolutely in love with this but the fur easily pulls off in chunks. Each time we play with it a large chunk comes off easily. My challenge is making sure that my dog doesn’t eat the pieces that pull off. We will continue to play with it until all the fur is gone. The rest is really very sturdy.My puppy kept trying to play with the duster thing that sweeps under appliances and furniture (in the picture). He was obsessed with it so I tried a few toys that had the longer “hair”. But he wasn’t really interested in those. I was so happy when I saw this, especially with the leash on it. Now anytime I need to distract him from some thing I picked that up and he is immediately engaged. I might buy another one so we have one on each floor. Highly recommend. I was a little worried about the durability but it’s holding up well to his razor sharp puppy teeth. I’m not sure how it would be for him when he is full grown but it is perfect for puppyhood.Great for treats but once they were gone she chewed most of the head offI bought for my 105lb Rottweiler for flyball. He actually has done damage to it but not as much as I thought. It’s still got fluffy and the bungee has held. It is a decent tug for just seeing if your dog likes them.Professional dog trainer here:This thing is great! My dog never gets tired of it. Some of my clients have tied it to door knobs or other furniture for their puppies to play tug with. I recommend it to clients all the time and they always love it. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because it kind of sheds when my dog pulls on it. Not a big deal but after play sessions shes always spitting out a little “fur” that she had managed to pull off. Still it’s not a risk to her health in any way so I think the pros definitely out way that one con.My dog picked THIS as his favorite toy reward. Do not expect this toy to last 5 minutes if you leave dog to self entertain... that is if you have a large dog. But well choreographed sessions will keep this toy in good shape - string is reinforced nicely, and the toy will keep your dog wanting more and more of play. Our toy is well constructed and I will order more when in stock, just to keep for future. I imagine they can't last forever with 85 lbs shepherd's jaws.Doggo absolutely loves this toy, we use it for training only but the fur pulls off very easily. They dont last long in our house.
